We’re aware of the devastating effects corruption has on the economy – Govt
Deputy Secretary to Cabinet in Charge of Administration Dr Oliver Kalabo has said the New Dawn Administration has placed the fight against corruption at the apex of its economic and social agenda.
Dr Kalabo said when he officiated at the Management Training Course for ACC Senior Staff in Lusaka today that government has at every opportunity urged stakeholders to join the fight against the vice.
He said government is well aware of the devastating effects that corruption has on the economic and social development of the nation.
“The Government of the Republic of Zambia has placed the fight against corruption at the apex of its economic and social agenda and has at every opportunity urged stakeholders in the public sector, the private sector, civil society, academia and indeed in all spheres of society to join the fight against corruption,” he said.
“This is because the government is well aware of the devastating effects that corruption has on the economic and social development of the nation.”
Dr Kalabo said this is the reason that the government will endeavour to fully support ACC and other law enforcement agencies in their quest to rid the nation of the vice of corruption.
