Zambia, UAE sign 2 MoUs
Zambia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
One MoU worth US$15 million is with the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and it will among other things be channeled to the agriculture sector.
The other one worth the same amount has been signed with the Ministry of Mines regarding mining exploration.
Speaking at the Ceremony, President Hichilema called on the Zambian Ministers and their United Arab Emirates counterparts to ensure that they expedite the implementation of the MoUs.
The Head of State said Zambia should emulate the strides by the UAE and learn from them how they have utilised technology to their development.
Meanwhile, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sheikh Shakboot Al Nahyan said his country is committed to strengthen ties with Zambia through collaborations in many areas.
